The mission of Temple Design Studio is to be of service to each of our clients so they can achieve their greatest potential. Personal temples, homes that are sanctuaries, and sacred landscapes are the project types that bring our souls alive. Our ability to bring magic to collaborations with clients is rooted in twenty years of design and construction experience. Studying the rhythms of nature, strong community connection and increasing personal awareness are the core influences underpinning our design philosophy and worldview. We are endlessly optimistic about the human potential.
After attending architecture programs at Syracuse University and University of Colorado, Alder (lead designer and principal) has been refining his skill set working in the resort areas of Lake Tahoe and Steamboat Springs. This experience afforded the opportunity to work on high-end, spectacular residences and commercial spaces such as resort amenities and community facilities. Alder lives outside Steamboat Springs with his wife and two daughters, breathing in the fresh air and getting outside every day in the stunning Rocky Mountains.
We engage in design work. We collaborate with you to discover the optimal temple form or home layout to support your personal journey toward enlightenment. A personal temple, a sanctuary at home, is the result of our design projects. Our interactive process provides valuable guidance to seek and unearth answers in the age-old quest to know thyself. Our method pairs scientific knowledge with spiritual technology to design sacred spaces that enrich the soul.
We believe in the moment called now. What matters to us is bringing what was good in the past into our modern lives. Somewhere in the mists of antiquity stone temples were raised to enshrine the teachings of a golden age. Down the line, we continue the great work of expanding awareness and choosing love over fear. Like the ancient temple builders before us, our focus is to create personal sanctuaries dedicated to the upliftment of people everywhere.
